Fossil reptile discovery 'something extraordinary'

The reptile lived near lakes and rivers, feeding on smaller reptiles

Brazil has discovered a fossil of a reptile oldest dinosaurs. The reptile, named Teyujagua or "fierce lizard", is the close relative of a group that gave rise to dinosaurs, crocodiles and birds. Scientists say that this fossil fill a gap in evolution. Co-investigator of the study published: "It's very close to the ancestry of a very important group of reptiles called archosauriformes," and "It helps us understand how that group evolved."



Dr. Felipe Pinheiro said "The discovery of Teyujagua was really exciting". For scientists Teyujagua is different from other fossils from the same era. Its anatomy is somewhere between that of more primitive reptiles and the archosauriforms, which include all dinosaurs, along with modern day birds and crocodiles.

In my opinion:

If what scientists say is true, we can be in one of the most important discoveries in history.

North Korea submarine 'missing' as US-South Korea drills continue

According to reports in the US, a Korean submarine is missing and presumed sunk. The vessel was operating off the North Korean coast for several days when it disappeared. This accident occurred at the worst time as the relations between the two countries are not very good. North Korea has issued another threat of war. When US Navy was following the submarine this disappeared.

BBC Korea correspondent Stephen Evans says North Korea has two submarine bases on the eastern coast, facing Japan, and the submarine was thought to have been operating near these bases.



In my opinion:
When two countries don't have a good relation you should never believe what they say because we never know if what they say is true or false.

Jurassic World

Jurassic World is a 2015 American adventure science fiction film and the fourth installment of the saga Jurassic Park. This story is 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park, Jurassic World is in the same island on the Pacific where a theme park populated with cloned dinosaurs has operated for 10 years. The problem is that one genetically modified dinosaur, Indominus rex, escapes and goes on a rampage across the island.

The film tells the story of two brothers that their aunt is the Supervisor of the park and when they go to the park one genetically modified dinosaur escapes and begins to terrorize people. The brothers try to survive with the help of Owen Grady who tries to kill the dinosaur.

This movie was incredible. If you're a fan of dinosaurs, Chris Pratt, or Jurassic Park, by all accounts you should love it. The Jurassic World Park itself was visually stunning and felt so realistic, I had no problem imagining it was real. In fact, if not for the carnivorous dinosaurs in less than secure locations, I would have wished it were real so I could visit it myself.

                                           

Cinema And Science

My project consists of the connection between cinema and science, I mean the influence of cinema in science. For example, how the movies have influenced in technological advances. Also, there are films where other disciplines, like philosophy, are important for instance the movie The Truman Show with the Allegory of the Cave. Moreover, I have searched movies which serve to the science disclosure where the director has been faithful to science to make the film.

Oscars Awards

This year the 88th Academy Awards was very interesting because has many unforeseen. In the first place it has the polemic about racism because this awards did not have any black nominee, all of the nominees was white. And this problem gave the opportunity to make jokes in the ceremony. In the second place, this year we could see the first Oscar to DiCario. Also we could see more surprises like Mad Max won six awards and Spotlight won the Best Movie.

In last blog I made a prediction of Oscars and I said that will win:

BEST MOVIE (prediction) --- The Revenant
BEST MOVIE --- Spotlight:
I think that won Spotlight because tells the real story about the Spotlight journalists unmasked the sexual abuse of the Catholic Church. And the movie has a very good actors like Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton and Rachel McAdams.

BEST ACTOR --- Leonardo DiCaprio
Although there were some doubts about who will win if Leonardo or Eddie Redmayne, finally the award was for Leonardo.

BEST ACTRESS --- Brie Larson
I think won the Oscar who deserved it. She had to make hard things to can make the interpretation.

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR --- Sylvester Stallone
BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR --- Mark Rylance
Against all odds Stallone didn't win the Oscar  the winners was the actor Mark Rylance who make the film The Bridge of Spies.

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS --- Alicia Vikander
As I said this award was clear who will win.

BEST DIRECTOR --- Alejandro Iñárritu
Here also win who deserve it. Although also he could win George Miller, the director of Mad Max


I think this year the Oscars were a little predictable but the I was surprised by the winner of best movie.

All Star Weekend 2016

This year the All Star was in Toronto. This year was one of the most important all star as was the last All Star to Kobe Bryant because he retires this year. Besides, this year the Dunk Contest came back, I mean the other years the Slam Dunk Contest was very boring but this year we had a very amazing dunks especially from the finalists. Now I'm gonna tell us as it was the all star.

Three Point Contest: This year in this contest we had the last year winner Stephen Curry and his team partner Klay Thompson, for mi the best 3 point shooters in NBA. The Final was Curry against Thompson. In the final Curry scores 23 but Klay Thompson scores 27 and win the Contest.

Slam Dunk Contest: This year in the Slam Dunk Contest we had the winner of last year Zach Levine, Aaron Gordon, Bill Murray and Drumond. Tje final was between Aaron Gordon and Zach.
And we have an amazing dunks from the finalists, dunks I never seen it before. I think that this year we could see best dunks of the history of the competition. They had to make 2 extra round because the both score the high score in every dunk. Finally the winner was Zach Levine with an espectacular dunk, he jumped from free throw line and pass the ball between the legs.

All Star game: This year the game had a clear protagonist, Kobe Bryant because it was the last All Star Game. There was a great farewell to the NBA champion Kobe with people who talk about him like the legendary NBA star Magic Johnson or Steve Nash. And Kobe could play for the last time with his great friend, partner Pau Gasol.
